Seek an Andriod developer for a 100% Remote full-time permanent position. Available to both US and Canadian residents.

This position (100% REMOTE) is for an individual who is excited to make a positive impact on the people and products they lead. You will be a Scrum Master with direct reports and someone who looks to leverage their technical experience in Big Data and Programming to continually improve the team and product. You must have an innate drive to learn and improve, be self-motivated, and possess strong communication and coordination skills. You are expected to be a versatile, energetic individual with a blend of technical experience and people management skills who will work with product, engineering, and QA to ensure effective product development on a fantastic team.

How you’ll make an impact

Leadership

• Energize and motivate the team and help them grow through career development
• Conduct regular 1:1s with a limited number of direct reports
• Be a champion of agile and lead scrum ceremonies in conjunction with the scrum team
• Coordinate communications with product management and your team on acceptance criteria, stories, and roadmap
• Manage resources to meet releases and communicate schedules to stakeholders
• Coordinate delivery logistics with dedicated Systems/DevOps personnel
• Mentor less experienced developers, assisting in their completion of user stories and development of their technical and non-technical skills
• Facilitate decision-making around technologies and libraries within the team’s codebases

Technology

• Define, estimate, code, review, test, and document solutions for development to ensure a smooth-flowing process free of impediments
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead to establish architectural and framework decisions around the product team’s requirements
• Build for quality through code reviews, support of continuous integration, QA, test automation, and the burndown of technical debt through a well-defined SDLC

Support

• Triage tier-3 support of SaaS-based enterprise products (client issues, performance, data integrity, integration with related applications)

Education and Experience

• B.S. in Computer Science, or related Engineering field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in a software product development environment as an individual contributor as a software or data engineer
• Full SDLC experience in complex enterprise software cloud environments is a must
• Experience as a scrum master, project manager, manager, or team lead with a strong emphasis on Scrum and Kanban
• Proven results showing sound decisions in an environment with a technology stack of functional programming, object-oriented programming, data lakes, warehouses, and containers in a cloud environment
• Experience succeeding in environments with some of the following technologies: Scala, Java, Python, Haskell, node.js, ReactNative (Android/iOS), Elastic Search, Kafka, Spark, RabbitMQ, RDBMS, Data Lakes, AWS
• Experience problem-solving with large, complex mobile and web-based applications with RESTful API backends
• Experience working in and maintaining a container-based environment
